The Children’s Ministry of Shelbyville Mills Baptist Church exists to glorify God by teaching children the Word of God, evangelizing them, and encouraging and equipping parents to bring up their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. We seek to accomplish our mission through:
Staffed by our youth director and fully equipped leadership team, our ministry is dedicated to helping students in grades 7-12 grow in the likeness of Christ. We accomplish this with a variety of activities, such as:
The goal of the College & Career ministry at Shelbyville Mills Baptist Church is to develop within each student a personal faith in Jesus Christ and a deeper love for God and His Word, by the power of the Holy Spirit. It is vital that as a student begins college or their own career, they deepen their knowledge of God’s Word, their conviction of who Jesus Christ is (John 14:6), and to know the rich doctrines of God’s Grace. Jesus Christ is the Great I Am, the living Word, and God’s only Son (John 1). As their personal faith grows, we will make disciples of Jesus Christ while dealing with the issues of college and career. There are many activities throughout the year to encourage discipleship, fellowship, and personal growth:
The Church is organized into Small Groups to evangelize the lost, equip the saved, and provide fellowship to meet individual needs. Our Small Groups meet every Sunday Morning at 9:00am.
Classes are offered for preschool, children, youth, college and career, women, and men.
